How to Use

Although we encourage you to please call us if you need help determining just how much product you need, this may help you get you started.

Some people need to visualize 'just what a yard of soil is'. The large loader on the left is full of 3 cubic yards of bank sand. The smaller loader on the right is full with one cubic yard. One cubic yard is equal to 27 cubic feet.

Think of a box that is 3 ft. by 3 ft. by 3 ft. That box full is one cubic yard. One yard of material will cover 27 square feet, 12 inches thick. Therefore, you can also say that one cubic yard will cover 54 square feet, 6 inches thick. Or, a popular mulching depth is 3 inches thick and that same yard will now cover 108 square feet.

Get it? If not, don't worry. We will be glad to assist you by phone!
